The Altar Mimic is a unique creature, a squatting, seemingly carved idol with a wide open mouth and its arms outstretched overhead as if attempting to grasp the sun in the sky. Its belly is dotted with holes through which the blood sacrificed into its maw may drip out... Except that the blood that pours from its stomach comes out as a thick semi-crystalline sludge that quickly solidifies into a sugar-like crystal lump. The blood crystals (or Vis) are incredibly charged with magical energy and as such is incredibly valuable. When ingested (as a powder or in small lumps) the user feels an immense vitality... but the raw power of magic allways leaves scars... Instinct: To be Worshipped
