The Ebon Mages were infamous for their morbid power and experiments which they did in a shadowy fortress, deep in the woods, a few miles from the great Castle of the Emperor. Sometimes people and weird creatures with wisted minds showed up in the woods, but disappeared shortly after. Often alongside everyone who might have seen something specific. Especially during the years of the great conquests under the command of the Ebon Princess they gained new and great knowledge from foreign masters and scholars and raided cities. Even with their fading into darkness and dispair, alongside their princess, they preserved some of their former powers and began to alter them, following the obscure windings of their undying minds.
