What creatures the demonic nobility keep can vary substantially. A particular house are said to keep gigantic tick-like creatures, that are able to feed on blood and souls. These soulticks are said to grow in power from this and are regularly drained by their owners to siphon this away. However there are dark rumours that such vicious creatures have a grander purpose, after all ticks are parasites - what could such a creature this large parasitize? Why the gods of course!
