A mean left hook (d6 damage) 3 HP 0 armor
    Close

"Had something scratched from you by Tabby, have you? It's been going around as of late. She moves quick for a human, and knows the streets of Nessus like the back of her hand." "Not that she's stolen nothing from me. I'm too smart to fall for her tricks, I am..." "Are you headed to the second-hand store too? Very well then, let us walk together. I might yet get back my father's pocket watch." Instinct: To survive the mean streets of Nessus

    • Pick a pocket or swipe valuables
    • Flee as soon as the chance presents itself
    • Ask the urchins for help

    Close, Ignores Armor
Special Qualities: Incorpereal Movement/ Sunlight Sensitivity/ Resists Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Thunder, Any Non-Magical Weapon/ Necrotic & Poison Immunity.

A creature of malice incarnate, concentrated into the incorporeal being that seeks to destroy life for one reason or another. Completely filled with hatred, its necrotic touch is nothing to joke around. The negativity within can make flowers wilt with its mere passage of the world! Animals flee from its presence and even smaller fires can be put out. Only faint glimmers of the Wraiths' previous life linger. Instinct: To consume life.

    • Create Spectre from a fresh corpse
    • Draining Touch: If Successfully hit, Necrotic damage taken, temporary loss of whole HP, Partial Success only half lost.

  • The Word Eater Solitary, Devious, Planar, Hoarder
Word Spell (d10 damage) 12 HP 2 armor
    Close, Ignores Armor, Far

Long ago the Word Eater was nothing but a shadow with a thirst for knowledge. Not to share it, but to take it. Replace it with Nothing. Its power is a plague of vocabulary, stealing words mundane and powerful to grow in strength, rendering whole cultures lost and ignorant. If it knows you, it can become you whole cloth. Instinct: To usurp

    • Steal a word and demonstrate its power
    • Impersonate someone whose name it has consumed
    • After eating a word, make it literally or metaphorically manifest
    • Tear language whole from minds and culture, and replace it with void
    • Know forgotten and impossible secrets

    Razor-Sharp Barnacles (d4 damage 1 piercing) 6 HP 3 armor
    Close
Special Qualities: Covered in spiky growths, aquatic, Unerringly seeks the one who made it

As if ordinary barnacles weren't enough. Funny things happen when you take a creature that destroys ships for pleasure and drench it in the blood of a void-spawn. Instinct: Destroy the artifacts of land-dwellers

    • Tear something of wood or metal apart
    • Spawn and spread with horrifying speed.

  • Void Touched Giant Crab Solitary, Large, Intelligent, Construct, Terrifying
Manifold Claws (Many With Mouths Inside) (d10+2 damage 2 piercing) 16 HP 5 armor
    Reach
Special Qualities: Eyes all around (the eyes, the eyes), aquatic, Unerringly seeks the one who tainted it.

AAAAAAAAHHHH!!!! What deepspawn blood created this creature? It's eyes are blood, it's claws have mouths, altogether too many mouths, the mouths have eyes, the mouths have eyes. It's shell ripples with secrets. WHAT DID YOU DO? WHAT DID YOU DO?! A few gallons of Deep One blood sprayed into the ocean go a long way. Instinct: Seek the one who created it

    • Grab everything nearby in it's hundredfold claws
    • Inspire terror and revulsion

  • Spawn of Shub-Ishniggarab Horde, Amorphous, Organized, Terrifying
Claws and horns (d4+4 damage) 6 HP 2 armor
    Close, Forceful
Special Qualities: immune to mind-affecting magic, Hive Mind: All Spawn are unified with the insane consciousness of Shub-Ishniggarab (and/or any of her avatars) in a 25 mile radius.

Covered with a patina of viscous green slime, this humanoid-shaped mass of polypoid filaments and horn-like protrusions lumbers along with the gait of a drunkard. The fibrous green tendrils that are woven together to create its form constantly writhe and pulsate in a heartbeat rhythm. A sickening stench and a sloshing sound mark its steady advance, and its eyes glow red.

Without a trace of individuality, the spawn are little more than additional appendages for their hideous god. Its plans are as unfathomable as the chaos that spawned it, and just as horrific. Any human-sized creature reduced to 0 Charisma by a spawn's poison lapses into a coma and undergoes a monstrous transformation into a Spawn of Shub-Ishniggarab. Over the course of an hour, the sense of self is washed away and subsumed into the unifying consciousness of the terrible god. Instinct: to serve Nanny.

    • Calm into quiescence with eye contact.
    • Poison foe for 1d3 Charisma.
    • Irrupt with polypoid protrusions.

  • Spawning Canker Terrifying, Amorphous
Flailing tentacles (d10+4 damage) 13 HP 1 armor
    Close
Special Qualities: immune to any mind-affecting magic, it is a decapitated corpse with flailing cilia where its head would be.

Pale and bloodless, a brutally decapitated corpse lurches forth. Where a head should be instead lashes a forest of horrific, unnatural tentacles, whipping as though trying to simultaneously burrow deeper into and escape from its fleshy husk.

A spawning canker is a terrible dual creature, an unnatural parasite and the decapitated humanoid body its tentacles writhe from like a knot of lashing, aberrant heads. Few ever see a spawning canker without its humanoid armor, but within the chest cavity of these hollowed-out hosts squirms a heartlike body contorting with a misassembled mass of fetal features and trailing a thicket of spiny tendrils. These tendrils lash from the stump of the host body’s exploded head, but also riddle the body, taking control of muscles and organs like the strings of some abominable puppet master. The body of a former host is pumped full of strange excretions and reinforced with the tendrils riddling its form, giving what appears to be a crippled frame an unnatural strength and speed. Those tentacles that extend forth serve as both the thing’s sensory organs and its feeding tubes, through which a canker drains the essence of other thinking creatures. Once it has gorged itself, a spawning canker erupts in a burst of obscene generation, its body withering with terrible speed, splitting both its own and its stolen essence into tentacles. These limbs split and tear from the remains of the canker’s body as writhing, dumb slugspawn, parasitic terrors with no desire but to infest other living creatures and, through their deaths, spread ever more of their terrible kind. A typical spawning canker stands as tall as the humanoid body it infests, plus 2 to 3 feet of added height from its dozen or so wild tendrils. Instinct: Multiply.

    • Drain 1d3 CHA
    • Bud into a group of slugspawn and die.
    • (1 in 100 chance) Bud into Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath
