Basilisk Solitary, Hoarder Bite (d10 damage) 12 HP 2 Armor Close “Few have seen a basilisk and lived to tell the tale. Get it? Seen a basilisk? Little bit of basilisk humor there. Sorry, I know you’re looking for something helpful, sirs. Serious stuff, I understand. The basilisk, even without its ability to turn your flesh to stone with a gaze, is a dangerous creature. A bit like a frog, bulbous eyes and six muscled legs built for leaping. A bit like an alligator, with snapping jaws and sawing teeth. Covered in stony scales and very hard to kill. Best avoided, if possible.” Instinct: To create new statuary

Rockstump Basilisk Solitary, Devious Tail-swipe (d8+4 damage 1 piercing) 12 HP 2 armor Close, Forceful You may know a thing or two about basilisks, but this breed is different. It's worse. It starts of small with wolves or a travelling peasant, but then they start adding more and bigger prey. Bears, entire caravans of people, Great Spiders, and the adventurers arrogant enough to hunt it down. What may be even worse, while other breeds may kill or petrify with but a look these are harmless unless they want to be. This doesn't sound too bad until you hear stories of the Serpent Queen, who claims to have trained them to be her loyal pets. Then, you have some trouble at hand. Rippers Group, Intelligent, Terrifying Bite, Acid Spit (b[2d8+4] damage 2 piercing) 10 HP 1 armor Close, Forceful, Ignores Armor, Near Special Qualities: Its 9 pairs of eyes are on the bottom part of it's jaw. Rippers are vicious creatures, often found in packs of 3-6. In the wild, like most animals, they are not dangerous to their surroundings, and the only reason they would attack is when they feel threatened or if they sense fear. Local hunters often use these beasts if wolves or other common predators aren't found in some areas. The reason these creatures are more dangerous than the common hound, are their very sharp fangs that rip through armor like a knife through butter, as well as their acidic spit. As their means of protection, they have thick hide that, if properly extracted, could be used as scale armor. In addition to that, they use their 4 arms to deflect and parry blows made by their attacker. Instinct: To hunt
